Overheard in the Studio...
As we discussed which hotel to stay in while in New York...
"You know the place is pretty cool if it doesn't charge by the hour."

Quote of the Day
"I can smell your stretch marks from here."
"I can hear you thinking."
Kirk has powerful senses. Just don't question them.

Another Greta Darling
Jersey Shore has become the Balmain of television. It's addictive. Everyone wants to a piece of it. And despite feeling a little dirty thinking about, you still want more. Even if the military jacket is 11,000 USD. Expensive is so flirty.
Snooki is a diva/babe/chica/fierce/doll. O and model/actress. And I for one love her confidence. V Magazine anyone?

Dialogue of the Day
K - "She's a drag queen in women's clothing."
P - "No, I think you mean in a woman's body. Drag queens wear women's clothing."
K - "Oh."

25 Minutes in the Studio
Life in the Greta Studio.... Kirk wants to have a reality show. But he wants an actor to play everyone in the studio. Then he wants everyone to play each other. He doesn't want to play Candy. He wants an Oscar winning performance. Then he wants his face blurred. Except the people that come into the office. They have their faces shown.
Conversation has evolved to have just an audio reality show.
Pause.
Now discussing gym memberships. And Dawson's Creek. Wait, Saved by the Bell. Now age. And Catherine Zeta Jones. Michael Douglas must be upset about that.

A Single Man
I finally had a chance to see the movie that has garnered buzz from nearly every niche of press- general entertainment, fashion, lifestyle, and film. If both TMZ and WWD have something to say about it, you know it's going to be special.
Incredibly inspiring, so beautiful to watch yet so painful to behold, and best of all, overtly Tom Ford. Humour, sadness, anger, fear- it was like an elevator of emotions. On this elevator, the soundtrack was powerful; a perfect complement to the passion that consumes the audience.
And over and over again all I felt was claustrophobic. A tremendous achievement for any first time director.
Beyond the superior quality of the film and storyline, the styling and grooming was phenomenal. Julianne Moore's character screamed perfection with a pinch of dishevelment. Contrived? Maybe. Sincere? Yes. How to be both? Only Tom Ford.
Photographed by Tom Ford for V Magazine coming out January 14th.

Ins and outs of Fashion & Design in 2009 (from NOW magazine) by: Andrew Sardone
Fashion moment
For taking Toronto fashion show production values to dizzying new heights, we bestow designer-of-the-year honours on Greta Constantine’s Stephen Wong and Kirk Pickersgill. Their spring 2010 presentation in the concrete bowels of a Don Valley Audi dealership was as dramatic as the collection’s piped body suits and billowing jersey.
