Power Ball: Quarter Life Crisis

Kirk and Stephen got their celebration on at the Power Ball in the Power Plant, in Toronto. The Power Plant was celebrating it's 25th year/mid life crisis as an innovative contemporary art gallery. It's consistently a highlight of the pre-summer event circuit and this year was no exception! There was great food, yummy (a little too yummy on second thought) beverages, and art installations that we still may not fully grasp, though that too, is a testament to the thought put forth in their design. Thanks, Power Plant, for a night we will surely remember!

From The Inside Out: A Film Festival

We attended Inside Out, an LGBTQ film festival that was happening in Toronto throughout the month of May. This party of a film festival featured many films that were created by members of the gay community. The documentaries also had members of the gay community starring in lead roles. This film festival aided in more awareness and celebration to a multitude of different kinds of love that can exist between people.

Feature presentations:

Love Free or Die: How The Bishop of New Hampshire is Changing the World - a riveting tale of a how a gay priest is changing people's views on what forms love can take on inside the church.

This film still is from a film called Stud, where the main character (second from left) is discovering what love between two people means.

Did you get a chance to catch any flicks shown at the Inside Out film festival? What were your favourites? Let us know in the comments section below!

SPOTTED: Actress Emily Hampshire in Greta Constantine

We've spotted another chic lady in one of our dresses! This Monday, Canadian actress Emily Hampshire wore a sleek cobalt blue Greta Constantine dress to the Toronto photo call for the new film Cosmopolis. Emily stars alongside Robert Pattinson, Paul Giamatti, Sarah Gadon (who has worn Greta Constantine too!), and Kevin Durand in the David Cronenberg film which opens in theatres this weekend.

The dress as seen at our Fall/Winter 2012 runway show this past March.
