SAG Awards 2013: Greta C's Favourite Femmes

January has been a month brimming with Hollywood glamour and we can't help but swoon over the fashion this award season. That being said, we thought it’d be a crime to dismiss the fashion from Sunday night’s SAG awards.

So, without further ado here’s GC’s top SAG award belles:

Marion Cotillard

We were blown away with Marion Cotillard’s strapless, dual-coloured Dior Haute Couture gown. Adorned with a pair of classic black Dior heels and Chopard jewels, Cotillard looked dazzling. Oh, and we can't forget her new do—the asymmetrical bob gives her the perfect aura of elegance.

Amanda Seyfried

Navy was definitely a favourite hue on Sunday's red carpet and Amanda Seyfried rocked this trend in a     timeless, yet dramatic Zac Posen gown. Seyfried glamified the gown with a statement art deco Lorraine Schwartz necklace. We also loved how the ‘Les Mis’ star added some retro flavour with side-parted, 1940s-esque hair.

     Michelle Dockery

We love how the Downtown Abbey actress chose a daring gown that bared a little cleavage, yet still maintained her ultra sleek and ladylike look. The black satin, vintage Chado Ralph Rucci was the perfect choice for the starlet. We love how she played up her look with 1920s-style waves giving us a taste of a little old-school beauty.

      Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain was another Hollywood starlet that swooned us with her strapless, ruby red Alexander McQueen gown. With a glimmering Harry Winston necklace, Chastain brought the perfect amount of bling to her already elegant look.  Chastain opted for classic, Hollywood glam-like hair. The effortless, yet enchanting look made her a frontrunner in last night’s red carpet roster.

There you have it—our favourite SAG darlings. Did you get a chance to catch the awards show? We’d love to hear which starlets were on your best-dressed list.

      Until then!

      Much love,

      Greta C.

Greta C. talks Golden Globes!

We’ve had a couple of days to digest the fashion that is the Golden Globes, and though it’s now a happy Hollywood memory, we had a blast in the studio chatting about the night's hottest looks. Here's who we've been swooning over:

                  Marion Cotillard

We loved how the French actress dazzled in a tangerine Christian Dior couture assymetrical hem, strapless dress. The Christian Dior pointy-toed heels made this monochromatic look feel especially current. With sleek, simple hair it gave the star a balanced, yet glam look.

Katherine McPhee

We thought McPhee looked striking in a plunging V-neck gown by Oliver Theyskens for Theory. The thigh-high slit added a sultry accent to her already sexy look, which was finished with a pretty updo and swinging earrings the perfect accessories for her Hollywood-glam style.

Kate Hudson

When does Kate Hudson ever look any less than glamorous? She blew us away in a stunning Alexander McQueen keyhole gown. We love how Hudson keeps it simple, yet sexy with her soft, voluptuous hair—it was the perfect finishing to her dramatic McQueen gown, which deserved to shine on the red carpet.

 Julianne Moore

We are impartial to minimalist-chic looks and Julianne Moore emulated just this in her stunning black and white colourblock Tom Ford gown. Red carpets tend to be a parade of borrowed clothing.  In custom Tom Ford, Moore looks like she's wearing something all her own.

Jessica Alba

So, aside from the fact that Jessica Alba was probably the most expensive diva that graced the red carpet (she wore a $5.8 million Harry Winston diamond necklace) we thought she looked stunning in her peach Oscar de la Renta gown. Paired with her pretty, retro hairdo, she embodied presenter perfection.

 Isla Fisher

We loved the nude, jewel-encrusted Reem Acra dress that Isla Fisher adorned the red carpet with. There was a perfect balance of bedazzle and glam as Fisher was yet another starlet to sport a retro-chic hairdo. Pure elegance.

Anne Hathaway

We loved how Anne Hathaway looked in her unfussy, beaded Chanel gown. The actress sported a matching clutch, along with a diamond bracelet and earrings, which made her sparkle all the way to her Golden Globe win.

Salma Hayek

We loved how Salma Hayek glittered wearing Gucci Première —the midnight-blue silk, strapless gown perfectly accentuated the actresses' sultry curves. We mustn’t forget to mention our love for the oversized bow that finished the look with a pinch of European flare.

Jessi Cruickshank

BEST DRESSED OF THE NIGHT goes to none other than eTalk's Jessi Cruickshank wearing Greta Constantine! We might be a little biased, but we thought Jessi radiated nothing but elegance in this white, fitted, knee length silhouette.

Who were your Golden Globes darlings? We’d love to hear who you thought rocked the red carpet.

Until then!

Much love,

Greta C.
